Seems like the winter has broken my door lock mechanism. I tried taking the handle off and working the rods manually and can't get it to unlock. Just wondering if anyone knows how to resolve this. Much appreciated.

 

There's a lot of flex in those aluminum rods...sometimes it just takes persistence.
It's been a while since I had to do this (knocking wood) but it seems there is a shorter rod that leads directly to the latch mechanism that is the easiest to manipulate.

 

I'll have to just give it a proper push then. Nothing to lose at this point really

 

Make sure you're not on 'lock', by the way.
