Question Door Lock Problem...

I recently went to the Mazda NHRA drag racing event in Pomona, CA; where it got so hot as f**k that the driver side door lock didn't work at all, it happened once when it got hot around 100's but when it got cooler around 80's, it worked again. but this time, it didn't worked at all. anyone had the same problems before? thanks.

Try some lube down the key hole. I haven't heard of hot temp giving problems to locks. I guess metal expansion...

Unhappy

i tried it but still it doesn't work but thanks for the suggestion. i talked to tri-point engineering and they said that it could be one of the connector clips that utilizes the lock inside. but who knows what's the problem. guess i'll take it apart but don't know where to start. anyone? thanks.

I've taken the whole door handle assembly apart to fix a handle problem. I'd be happy to help but I've never had your specific problem. I might be able to come up with a walk-through and pics if you want. Email or PM me, unless you think it would benefit other forum users to just discuss it here.
