Door handle assembly screw/bolt things (please help really annoying!)

Ok. Basically the two bolts that hold the whole door handle assembly on, on the drivers side, keep coming off. It is very aggravating because when they do come off i cannot open the handle from the outside and have to walk around to let myself in. I have a picture here in the attatchments.

Has this happend to any of you before? what did you do to keep it the bolts in there securely?

It seems that once i get the peg in there and go to tighten down the nut, it just unscrews the peg and therefore doesn't really get that tight. any suggestions?

The stud is supposed to be screwed into the door handle, then the nut tightened over the stud. Separate the stud and nut. You can also use an m6x1.0 bolt of the proper length.

^ agreed and accurate. Put some BLUE Loc-Tite on if you keep having trouble, or substitute a nylon lock-nut in place of the stock nut.
