does tire height affect ABS operation? troubleshooting my abs
my rear wheels are locking up.
no abs light on dash (the light works because if i disconnect a sensor or the rear abs ecu, the light goes on).
fronts are 245-45-17, 25.3 inches tall v700's.
rears are 275-40-17, 25.7 inches tall yok's.
would .4 inch different mess it up?

I don't think tire height has anything to do with it, I do know that, I personally, dont like abs and disabled and removed mine. I once got in a accident because of abs.

The computor is reading the rotation of all tires ,looking for a difference in speed. So if all the tires are not the same dia then a difference is seen by the computor . That been said I do not know if .4inch will cause a proplem .

in a traction controlled car it might matter, but as long as the tone ring is passing the pick up during a stop the comp should not care.
i did not think it was progressive just when the wheel senses lock up the abs module will isolate the channel that locks up, dump some of the line pressure and then look to see if the wheel started turning or not.
