Does this look like an easy fix-up?

Hey guys, I found this car on ebay and I am very interested in it because I am selling mine.

32,000 miles - but there is some body damage on it. Also, there is no passenger seat.

Does this car look like an easy fix up? Please let me know what you experts think about this car. My best friend works at a good body shop and he could do all the paint work for free he said. The engine sounds strong but I do not know if it is worth it to fix up. I am just a student and I don't have too much money to spend, so I if I did get it, would it be an easy fix up?

Thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna get a 3rd gen eventually - I just have to find one 1st!

Tom

Nothing is easy, otherwise the current owner would do it.

Couple things caught my eye, Tan interior didn't come on a silver car. Someone either swapped out the interior or repainted the car a different color.

It isn't an R1 (93s) because silver didn't come on R1s. Engine compartment is silver, I assume it is orginally silver. Also black interior came on R1s

32K miles, BS. Probably been altered.

If you are a student, and don't have much money, you shouldn't buy an FD. They can be very expensive to maintain. I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy a car that they have not personally inspected, and had checked by a reputable shop. Looks like this owner is trying to sell the car to someone who can't look at it.

That car looks completely beat to hell. Its been Ebay a couple of times (relisted). I don't believe the 32K miles either. He's probably one of those ******** who says "only 32K miles.......on the rebuild. The chassis has 150K."

Enfini is a Japanese only model, sort of like an upscale Mazda. He's lying when he says its an Enfini.

Where dose it say tan interior? The above pictures show a red interior. Standard silver combo.

the guy bought the car from me a while back. i put the tan interior in from my black/tan to be nice. i put the black interior in my car. the motor is fairly new and from a 94r2 that i had a while back. the title is clean and has about 55k on it. not too sure on it as it was a while back. the guy is on the forum but i will let him respond as it is his car.

Arrow Damn, I mean damn

Not a true vet at these cars but I have been around enough to know that the RX-7 although a very strong car in the turns and straight line, can't really take a hit.

This car looks like someone tried to do a side grind on a guard rail. The blasted black fender on the front is probably hidding some really nasty damage.

Not saying that you shouldn't buy it, just be aware, identify the cost to rebuild the car first, subtract that form Blue Book, if he is in that range, and you got the time (personally I don't have that much time!!).

To give you an idea, I blew a hose the other day, its about a 3 inch tiny black hose. That little hose costs about 10 bucks!! Now imagine prices like that with a car like this?? You will be spending some real time in junk yards!!

Are you blind? Look at the bottom of the page, doors open, tan panels.

I would say avoid that one unless you can check it out personally. Tan seats werent avaiable, plus the whole R1 thing.

sounds like this guy is giving misinformation hoping to get someone to bite on his (over) price.

car

the car did hit a guard rail at about 30mph in the texas rain(previous owner). he fixed most of the damage very well. it was damaged on all but one panel. the only heavy damage was to the funder that he replaced with the black one. he is telling the truth on everything else. the car did have some very very slight frame damage on the drivers front corner. as long as he fixed that the car is ok. no flood or anything.

Thats what I though u ment, I am currently fixing one and its being a really huge @#$@(*^) b*tch!
The front fenders are easily replaced as well as the hood and the front bumper. Even the rear bumper is a peice of cake to replace.

BTW: does anyone know if there is anybody that sells stock rear fenders/ 1/4 panels?
