does breaking the knock sns wire cause...

the car to go into limp mode? just wondering since i was trying to relocate the knock sensor and broke the wire. since i couldn't get to the other end, i decided to put some things back on and move the car. it now runs like ****. just want to make sure i shouldn't be looking for something else. i only had the intake pipe from the intercooler to the uim off at the time. thanks for any help.

thanks for the input mad 7tist, i thought the same thing, but oddly enough that does not happen. once i reattached the map sensor vacuum hose, the car ran perfect again, only with the cei light on because of the broken wire.
