black is black is black

unless it has the word metallic or flake near it

"brilliant black" is the same as "ferrari black" or "mercedes AMG black"

He's asking if the paint codes are the same for both cars.

It's PZ/PX, isn't it?

I disagree on that one.

yes, are the paints identical? IE, if I buy a 94 black bumper to put on my 93, will the paints be the same? The paint on my bumper is shot, and I dont want to repaint the car....

paint fade is the only thing that might get you.

Paint fades over time, if one car sat outside in Arizona and the other car sat inside in Ohio they will have likely faded differently.

Bumpers don't match the body perfectly when new all the time.

Black is one of the easiest colors to match according to my paint guy.

you are being cheap and will most likely end up with something that looks just as bad as it does now. get the color matched and paint your bumper or maybe even a good polishing will do the job.

then get a new bumper...We're just trying to say that the chances of it being EXACTLY the same color are nil...It's not a HUGE deal. My bumper is a slightly different color then the rest of my car because of the difference in paint wear on the metal and on the urethane. I still have original paint.

Im finishing up college right now, as well as finishing my LS1 swap. I dont have money growing on trees. My whole car will be under $12k done, so a $4k paint job is not an option.

I dont have the money to buy a new bumper and then paint my car. I figure if I can pay someone $75 for a bumper and bolt it up, and my car looks a lot better (old one has flaking) thats a really good $75.

Then, when I graduate, I put fender flares, 18x11s, coilovers, AFR heads, a big cam, and paint, then I have my 500rwhp beast

Actually Black can vary considerably from warm tone to cool tone (red to blue) most automotive Blacks are very cool or bluish to greenish and in reality Black is one of the hardest colors to match because of the subtle way Black pigments vary in color response under different types of light.
