I also think you miss not having to slow down to 3mph and angle at everything so you dont scrape.

Why I haven't change mine

This is the reason I haven't change mine. I bought my body kit three years ago and not put on it. I might just change the front that's about it. Of course with a nice wheel. Keeping it stock as much as possible.

I hope everyone brings their FD to the track for a HPDE at least once every 1-2 years (I HPDE at least 2-3 times per year), it's just brings out the true essence of these cars
^^ i agree.

if you think these cars handle great driving on the street, they are even more amazing on the track. im trying to make it to the track once a month this year

I love looking at "unique" FD's and I can appreciate the effort and looks of many kits, but never would do it to mine.

99spec or burnout ftw.

Ok to answer, no I don't miss it, I always play with the idea of what "Makes" or "Breaks" any kit. Incl. Stock look...
I try and get ideas on what would look cool without being over the top...

+1 my car is stockbodied except for wheels suspension and 99 spec front lip and front mount past that the rest of the stuff is where you cant see it but i agree i try to do only things that will accent the stock body while not taking away from it but i do have to say i really like kai's car. and i have been fighting with myself over the idea of buying another one just so that i have a clean pallet to work on while i cna leave mine just the way it is (molded pettit flares, fender mirrors like kai ect....)

KAI, you need to listen to these ppl... get rid of your body kit... as quick as you can. On a side note, go ahead and send me a PM with prices on it Your car is one of my favorites. I think Joe from Philly hit the nail on the head. With my silver FD, I missed the ability to jump and and just drive whenever and not really have alot to worry about. Luckily I was able to purchase my first FD back so now I have the ability to do so. My intent is pretty much the same as yours. The silver car will be a "track" car that is still driven on the street from time to time... and I did polish a few things in the engine bay too and my red car will remain fairly stock with the updated 99spec front. That way I have both ends covered. What keeps me from buying body kits more than anything is I don't like how easily fiberglass can be damaged.

I love the stock body way too much, im going RB Type II wing, but beyond that, All stock.

DCrosby, i like your car, but something about the Spec 99 bumper lights and the sunk in lights... just looks off... i dunno... its just unusual looking for some reason... does anyone else think so?

I think people leave stock body because what their cosmetic taste in aftermarket, doesnt blend in well with the stock body.

For instance, if you have stock body, not ALL 18" wheels look good. Now you add some skirts and a crazy aftermarket front bumper and that changes everything.

I believe theres a line between going over the limit and keeping it subtle even though you modified every exterior part of the car.

To the OP, your car def seems overdone BUT in a good way, all classy parts, all done right, no part is opposite of each other, you blended the theme well and thats why you shouldnt regret what you did.

However if it was me, since i dont prefer what you done, i would have done 99 front, oem or apexi skirts and some nice wheels, drop and thats it.

Honestly, I love the stock lines and that makes me afraid to change much on the car. I've been eyeing the Burnout kit, but I'm afraid that once it is on, I'll miss the old lines. The car has a great sexy sports car look that has survived nicely into the current day (especially when you throw a 99 spec front on). However, I love the fact that you have such a rare (in this country) kit for the car that makes it so distinctly your's.
