You do not...takes about 5 min if the harness was included. It will probably take you longer to decide where you want to mount it. I mounted mine on a lip on the firewall where my cruise used to be.

Shawnk,
Good answer and good place. Im going to put my ignition box inside the car, but you still dont have to remove the intake manifold..

You don't have to remove the manifold. The connector is behind the power steering pump -- in that area at least. You just need to find the connector, disconnect it, and connect each end to the HKS wiring harness.
I mounted the box on top of my cruise control. I think I just found a hole in a tab on the bracket and used a 6mm (10mm head & nut) bolt and nut to hold the TwinPower. It fits great there. I used one of the cruise control bracket bolts for the ground.
Put a little silicone in the unused wire holes in the TwinPower grommit. I've heard they can be damaged by water, and this helps prevent that.

Only thing you have to remove, is the intake elbow.
Tring to get to the harness without doing so is
impossible.
Remember its not the harness right next to the Power
steering reservoir, it has like 8-10 wires. I spent like
20 minutes tring to get to it, and realized it was the
wrong one. Follow the wires from the fusebox, behind
and down a little from the Powersteering.
I mounted mine, right on the inside of the engine well
under the Elbow. There was already a threaded
hole there and everything. perfect fit..
