Do I need to remove air pump to fit open air intake?

I bought an Apexi intake that apparently does NOT come with the intake piping. I am kinda upset since I have no idea how I can connect the Apexi intake to the stock rubber hoses without them falling down over and rubbing up against the pulley on the air pump.

1) Do I have to remove the air pump to use this open air intake system?

2) Where can I get the aluminum piping to connect to my apexi power intake? M2 wants $285 for their pipes...to hell with that.

3) I haven't received my order yet...should I just cancel and buy a damn M2 air box for $485 ($185 more).

The Apexi Power Intake (the same one that comes with their FMIC) comes with the proper hoses and brackets to install it properly. If you bought a different intake then I don't know what to tell you. IMHO the M2 Intake is a much better unit, for that matter, any cold air intake is better. However the drawback to them is that they won't fit with any FMIC except the RX-7 Fashion one.

Well I am supposed to get it in the mail soon. I was told there weren't any intake pipes....BUT...I just now found a picture of all the stuff included and it looks like there are some brackets to prop the filters up.

Phew......

Thanks for the responses, guys.
