Do I need a catback?
Im going to put in a dp and midpipe, either resonated or hi flow, and a pettit ecu. Will I need to replace my catback? And whats your opinion on the midpipe

First off you should not put a mid pipe on yet unless you want to blow your motor. The Pettit ecu is not going to compensate for that mid pipe. You are going to need to lay off the mid pipe until you can get a proper tune with a fully prgramable unit. I am sure you can search and find plenty of info on blown motors from running stock, or even pre programmed ecus' and a midpipe combo.
What you want for exhaust right now is a down pipe to start you out. Then the cat back. Leave the main cat inplace until you get that fuel compensation there to back it up or deal with a broken down car.

search under 'boost creep.' I recommend you run either a high flow cat or keep the main cat on the car. You can make good power with just an intake, dp and catback. My dad's FD made 290 rwhp at 12 psi with just those three mods and a pfs piggyback ecu.
