Do FD's have a circuit breaker to protect from overload?

Rewired started, the battery arc'd when the terminals were reconnected, wondering if there is a circuit breaker that popped, since none of the fuses blew....

if there is a breaker like the 2nd gen's, please let me know... asap...

thanx

I'm pretty sure the main fuse its self acts as a breaker

Well a breaker can be reset, a fuse has to be replaced, I was just curious if I was missing something in the path besides the fuses.

If a wire was fried, you would notice right? Would it melt or be totally burnt? Cause I think I might have fried a wire, but it doesn't look fried... then again it is insulated....

you would definitely notice a toasted wire, assuming the damaged wire is visible. it would likely be blackened and somewhat melted, the insulation would be the first part to go.
