do exhaust pipe have to be stainless steel

how thick the pipe walls have to be if there not SS. Just wondering if they can with stand the heat.

you can use mild steel parts. most people go with SS because it won't corrode and it looks nice in general. i seems like people say the SS can take the heat as a DP more than mild but it really has to do with the mild corroding so much faster under the immense heat. you can always get them ceramic coated or powder coated
