Disconnect airpump?
Has a new rebuilt engine, so I`m running the first 600 miles with stock mods. The cat on. Tryed to unplug it now, just to see (wasent going to drive with it) but the car dident "idling" (would that be the right word?) verry vell. Diden`t run like it should. Is this a sign of the cat beeing crammed/packed? The reason I ask is because my turbo get`s verry easy glowing red...(?) Shoulden`t be running lean eighter.

Are you using the stock ECU? That's not a good idea if you are running a midpipe.
Any way, with the stock ECU (or a rechipped stock ECU), you'll need to raise the idle up to around 1100 rpms. Otherwise, it will choke itself out from being too rich without the airpump.

Thank`s
I suppose it would be possible to use extra injectors on the intake elbow and then use an Additional Injector Controller (AIC). However, after all that you could have just bought a PFC for a little more.
Wow! Thank you soo much...
So if I get the idle up to 1100rpm this should go smoth?
Boost creep shouldent be a problem, because the wastegate is ported.
The guy ho rebuilt the engine told me so. He says he has a perfect recipe, two injectors that fits perfect for the 3" exhast.
Bought this car with a broken engine, my first rotary. And delivered it fore a rebuilt. I have asked several times if I should buy a PFC, but he says that wouldent be necessary. Dont really know what to do about that...

so whats the final conclusion here-take it off or not?? i also have 3"exhaust system with a 3"cat and my air pump is not connected to the cat,but its still attached to the serpintine belt, should i take it off or not?
The issues IMO to consider..... First, removing the AP will not affect performance. Two, removing the AP will require either a replacement idler pulley or installation of a over-sized pulleys and a shorter belt ala Greddy (or other) to maintain at least minimal belt contact with the waterpump. Third, there is at least some risk of reducing the life of your cat. You decide.
