taking my alternator apart to get polished and ran into an issue. got the front part of the housing off just fine but cannot seem to get the core out from the back piece. most likely im just an idiot but does anyone know how to do this?

i believe theres a spring loaded contact that holds the rear bearing in but i didnt wanna go prying around on stuff and screw up my new alt
