Disabling EGR...tricking ECU!

On a CA spec FD, when you disable the EGR or if have a bad EGR is there anything that can be use to trick the ECU so that it thinks the EGR is still functional so that the CEL won't come on?

Thanks.

there was a post about this a while back. I hate it when people say this, but do a search. Somebody came up with a simple solution. I had the same problem, the egr kept triggering a check engine light. Even the dealer said it wasn't worth the labor to replace. How did I fix mine? I got a PFC...voila, no more light.

I see you have to remove the intake manifold to get to the solinoid.

Wouldnt it be easier to place a vacuum switch in place of the egr vacuum and electrical connections?
