Disable Stock Security System

I just had a stock security system installed in my 93fd so that I would have keyless entry, and it works great except for one problem. When the security system (aftermarket one) locks the doors, it arms the factory system. Then when you disarm the aftermarket security system and it unlocks the doors, it doesn't disarm the factory system which in turn causes it to go off. I guess this is because it doesn't see the key turn in the door lock because this is the only way I can shut off the factory system. This kind of defeats the purpose of the keyless entry.

What I'm wondering is if anyone knows how to disable the factory security system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

well, according to dei, the factory alarm disarm wire is located in the driver's kick panel. the color to look for is light green with a black trace (has also been found to be a pale yellow w/ red trace on some models). what you will need to do is find out if the keyless entry system you had installed has a NEGATIVE output for the factory alarm disarm so when you unlock, it will disarm. if it doesn't, wire a relay up so that it when unlocking it will give the light green/blk wire a NEGATIVE pulse. your done. good luck.

Spoolin7N has the right idea. The system needs to see ground and depending on how you have set up the system one may do the trick. I am using two, one for the doors and one for the deck-lid. There may be another way but relays are found at most parts stores and you are only carrying a small electrical load, so you can use real light gauge wiring in the circuit.
