Disable EGR valve, really is a efficient mod?

I have to read this in the Rob Robinette web page:

http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/egr.htm

He supposes is a reliability mod for this cars, but I think this valve really works in scale of idle to 3000rpm more or less, i think if this valve is disable you can win 3things:

1. A engine cleaner
2. More contamination for the enviroment.
3. More time for warm the car

Really i don't see a efficient mod with it, anybody can explain me why is a good mod in this cars?

It really won't do much for the car. The EGR system on the FD is a JOKE - they HAD to put it on to meet US emissions at first, and the '95s dropped the EGR system altogether. Japanese cars never had EGR.

Blocking it off won't gain you much of anything either way.

Most delete it so they have room for a single turbo. Also, if you have a Power FC it will not work.

Really? That makes sense. This was actually one of the primary reasons i haven't looked seriously at an excessive LIM. I passed emissions on the PFC.
