Dipping clutch?

today i went to work and something funny happened on the way..sometimes my clutch would dip in with my accerlerator pedel when hitting higher rpms around 4-5k. now after pushing on it a few times it would come back to its neutral stage. it did that when coming home too.. i checked my fluid and notice it kinda low so i topped it off and took it for a drive. didn't do it as much but still it would dip sometimes..is this normal that i haven't notice till now or do i need a new clutch. i gotta pretty rough act stage 2 in it. so any suggestion or ideas???

First step, bleed the clutch to make sure there is no air in the system.

If you don't get anywhere with bleeding the system and you're sure you've ruled out trapped air as the cause, check your clutch master cylinder. I spent hours trying to bleed my clutch and realized that the problem was the clutch master cylinder, which is a no-brainer to rebuild or replace.

ok....now i am sure whats going on. when i push down softly it wouldn't engage the clutch at it would just fall to the ground. It won't come back up until i lift it with my foot. but if i press the clutch hard like i'm racing then its fine. it only happens when my foot is resting on it when the clutch sinks down to the floor. i think its not air is the system its a bad master cylinder.

Make sure you mention it's a clutch master cylinder when ordering a replacement unit or a rebuild kit, otherwise they'll assume you're talking about the brake master cylinder
