DIN measurements

Could someone please measure the double DIN in an FD3S 3rd gen?

I am wanting to know the width and height. If someone wouldn't mind running out to their car real quick and doing so... that would be great!

Exact measurements perferred.

an exact measurementwould require removing the center piece because the trim covers some of it. what are you planning?

hmmm..

this makes me wonder now. Ideas are welcome.

Trying to fit this in there:

http://logisysus.com/catalog/product...roducts_id=131

Its demensions are:
7.75W x 4.75H x 1.38D

It looks a little wider than what Adam had measured. But, I am not sure if this includes the trim piece or not? It would have to have some custom molding around it.

But, here is my delima.. Where do I put my receiver now? If the unit sits there, I have to place the receiver some where near that area...

Ideas welcome.

The only thing I can think of.. the divider between the cargo bins and the trunk area.. The black divider that pops out.. I was planning on mounting this (flush) to that: [img]http://www.anime.net/~gigagon/removable/c134.jpg[img]

Maybe I could mount the receiver under it? And get one with a remote? Then adjust volume that way? Ideas?

Hmm.

I think he did something like this recently. He has some pics, and may have some suggestions.

Yeah. I was looking at his setup, but he uses a double-din all-in-1 combination unit. Therefore he doesn't have the problem with the receiver. It just folds away.

I think that is what I am going to do. On the back divider, I will put both CPU & receiver there.

Anyone have a picture of the back divider square on? I have been searching, and haven't found one yet.
