Different Kind Of Import Thread

I have searched for a while, reading various import threads. But cannot find one to suit my case.

I own a JDM '94 R2 that is quite a long way from standard. It was imported to the UK in 08, but now I'm very strongly thinking of moving to the US....I do not want it road registered, just imported as a parts car. The idea is to buy a tidyish LHD FD & transfer all my parts over.

How realistically possible is this?

Cheers

If its going to be much of a hastle, i'd just take all your parts off, sell it as a shell in the UK, use those funds to help ship your parts over and buy a LHD over here.

The USA no longer does the "kit car" or "non-road use" idea. You can legally import non-road cars on a temporary basis. You can legally import for "show only", but you can only legally drive it 2500 miles per year and have to provide a log of all the shows the car attends. You can import as a "racing car", if you provide proof of the sanctioned racing institution which the car will participate.

There is no other "legal" way to import the car today.
