Question Difference between Defi D-gauges and Link system?

I want to put the defi gauges in my FD but I am not too sure of the difference beteen the Link system and the D gauges. What is a Link system anyway. Are they anybetter or worse. I know the D gauges come with green background and the Link come with amber. Iwas tring to keep everything the same (Amber), But I am not willing to sacrifice performance or quality to get it. I think the Link system has the playback feature and, but wasnt sure if the D system does. S**t I could be all backwards for that matter. I am a newbie and couldnt fins anything on the search. I was hoping you guys could help me out. I am confused

The D-Gauges are a stand alone gauge. The link system use a control unit that you wire up to 7 gauges into. The link system has peakhold/warning and playback features that the D-gauge does not have. The backlight on the link system is Green and the D-Gauge is amber.
The Link system is alot more money, but it gives you more features.
Both of them are nice looking gauges and are accurate.

Hope that helps

dragon,

I see that you are in NJ. You should take a ride down to SPI Powerexcel in Cliffwood Beach/Old Bridge. They are Defi distributors, and carry the guages in house - so you can decide for yourself in person.
