Died in the middle of driving!?

Well I am very new to rotary because I just baught a 3rd gen rx-7 and it has had lots of performance upgrades(single turbo, 660cc injectors, intercooler, Power FC, radiator ect..) I had a good feeling that the guy I baught it from knew what he was doing and that buying a built car could be a good experience. Everything was fine up until a couple of days ago(after having the car for about 4 days). I was driving and it was a bit cold out and the car was still a little bit warm from driving it earlier. I was in mid acceleration and the car jerks a little bit and the engine dies... I had some freind look and they dont know what it could be.. I tried to pop start it and only backfire, Checked the spark plugs and they are fine, Checkerd all thge fuses and they are fine... I have no clue what could have happened.. maybe an apex seal gave out.. but I heard even if a whole rotor blows up the engine will still start.. may not go anywhere but it will start.. The engine will not start at all... The battery is fine because the starter is working.. It has to be something electrical because I dont know how an engine with only 55k miles on it blows every seal it has... Also the car is only running 10psi of boost so I have no clue what it is...

If anyone has had this problem or have any suggestions I would really REALLY appreciate it!
