did i screw up my abs sensors while installing my suspension?
My ABS light just came on.
Last night, I replaced the factory springs on my car with PFS comfort springs - also running Koni adjustables and got new upper mounts and spring pads all around while I was there.
At one point when I was trying to re-install the front driver side strut assembly, the ABS sensor cable was pulled pretty tight. When I finished and started the car up, the ABS light came on. I took it for a test drive and tested the brakes to determine whether or not the ABS was working. The fronts locked up (rain).
Since I was not able to remove the ABS sensors from the hub, I had left them in during the install. I read a couple of threads that these things just twisted off, but mine wouldn't budge. Yes, I did unbolt them first.
It seems like the sensors are on tight. Could I have screwed up the cable? Is it just wiring under that cable that I can check and maybe splice?
Thanks for the help.

If you did indeed, I have the whole ABS system out of my car. Everything is in working order. Those little buggers are a fortune at the dealer. PM Me or email me if you need anything.

That leads me to my next question - anyone have any tips on how to get the sensor off the hub? mine are on pretty tight and don't budge.
Also, I noticed on the factory service manual that there is some kind of male to female connector of the cable near the fender. Is that something that is accessed from the outside of the car through the fender or is it buried somewhere under hood?
Thanks.

The connector to the driver side front is under the cruise control, Garfinkle replaced a stock broken one with a GM weather pac ,on a customers car .I do not know about the others .

cosborne - so your idiot lights aren't hooked up either? i took my car out for a test drive after the suspension install (which is when the light came on) and I jammed the brakes hard in the wet. the fronts locked up on me and stayed locked till i took my foot off the brake. i believe both front tires were locked up even though i know the pass side abs sensor shouldn't be fucked up.
you'd probably be better taking it somewhere to read the codes and see if the abs is throwing codes rather than replacing stuff haphazardly.
