Not working can be a simple problem.

Oil leak may be a minor deal.

A new clutch should set you back about $800 if you have someone else replace it.

If the turbos need to be rebuilt or (gulp) replaced, you got shafted. Otherwise, I say not really...

The way you described your situation is that the same mechanic checked out the car both before and after you purchased it but didn't advise you of the problems until after you purchased the car.

If my understanding is correct, then yes, it sounds like you got shafted on this deal, by the mechanic who checked out the car!
