Diagnostic port inside car?
Every car I have ever seen has had a diagnostic port inside, usually under the drivers side of the dash. does the fd have one or does it only have the one in the engine bay?

Just for fun obd 2 was first installed in some cars and trucks in mid 95 and most manufactures had test systems in as early as 93. They were for data gathering purposes. Some 95 cars have obd 1 systems with obd 2 ALDL diagnostic connectors. This is one of the biggest gripes I have with my 93. No obd 1, Mazda must have got a pass from the feds. I have been a tune up and drive - ability tech for over 20 years and not seeing a data stream is barbaric. The obd 1 and 2 have a big advantage over F/I systems which don't. Sure you can get a system with data streaming but it cost 2k more. The obd systems all have fuel integrator's which are invaluable.
