Defi guage problem

For those with Defi guages, do your warning limits reset themselves when the car is turned off? I set my boost guage warning light to 12.5 and it works fine until I turn the ignition off. It then resets itself back to 14.5. Could it be the control box? My EGT guage resets itself too.

although I don't have defi gauges. its sounds like somewhere you used a switched power instead of a constant one. look over your wiring again.

Yes, I have the same problem. When I hooked up the gauge, I did not use a wire that was always hot and that may be the problem. I did not want it to drain my battery. I used the cig lighter to power the unit and you can use the light on the ash tray to power the light on the guage. That way the unit powers up when the car is turned on and the light only go on when you turn the head lights on. This works well, but you do have the problem of the gauge needing to be reset everytime you get in the car. Maybe someone has a better way of hooking this thing up.

I think your right opiston. I may have reversed the red and orange wire. I know I'm getting constant power to one of them (multimeter shows that).

Nope, red wire is getting constant power, just as directions say. I'll try reversing them. Maybe the directions are wrong.

Has anyone figured out how to make them dim correctly? If I use the ashtray wire, the guages get brighter when the dash gets dimmer.
