Defi gauge question - how to take the mounting screws out
Hey guys,
I have several Defi D gauges and I want to mount two of them in the stock gauge locations ala Atihun or Howard Coleman. The problem I'm having at the moment is that each gauge has two screws coming out of the back that are normally used for mounting, and the gauges won't fit in the stock location with those screws coming out. I need to get those screws out of the gauges.
It appears that those screws were inserted when the gauge was built and there is no way to get them out. In addition, it appears that the bezel that goes around the face of the gauge is pressed on, so there is no way to take the whole gauge apart and take the screws out.
Sooo.... anyone taken apart a Defi D gauge? Anyone have any idea how to take those screws out?
I could just cut them off with a bolt cutter, but I would prefer to cleanly take them out iff possible.

Really, best way is just a Dremel cut-off wheel and cut them off. You're most likely never going to use them for mounting the gauge, and if you do it cleanly, it'll look just fine.
I've had to do that to a gauge in the past myself.
