Dashpot adjustment?

Does anyone know how to adjust the dashpot?

With the throttle body cold, the dashpot isn't doing anything to dampen the closure of the throttle.

Is there a possibility the tuner adjusted it this way for a reason?

It should slow the closure of the throttle. Maybe your dashpot is worn out.

The adjustment procedure is in the fuel and emissions FSM. If the dashpot had never been replaced, chances are it's worn out like Adam c said.

Take it out, spray WD40 onto the plastic shaft, push it in and out to tell if it is working.

If not working, get another or read attachment from another member.
If working, screw it in as far as possible where it will work but not also open the throttle.

The dashpot works. I had the same problem with my FC. A dead dashpot will basically go all the way in and not come out.

I'm only asking whether it should be adjusted without warming the car up.
