Dashboard mystery connector

For the life of me, I can’t remember where this connector goes. I looked at pictures I took with the dash off and don’t see anything on the body it may connect to. I want to say that it’s not used. I pulled the dash back again but I couldn’t see anything it might connect to. The picture is taken from a removed glove box area. Please help.

When I had my dash out ~20 years ago, I forgot to reconnect the cruise-control switch just to the right of the instrument pod because it wasn't obvious until I saw that cruise wasn't working. I don't know if that's what I'm looking at there because it was a long time ago.

That is a lhd car. When putting the fd dash back in its common and very easy to miss lay the harness. It's possible that connector is the x05 that goes between the engine and firewall harness. Other than the ac controls and radio, it's the only other place in that remote area that a plug like that would be used considering it's length.

Provide a better picture that clearly shows the wire layout into the connector on both sides.

My guess based on what I see is that its related to the factory audio system for the center speaker amplifier.
