DAMMM!! Broken nipple on AST!

Damm, 2nd time I hit a pothole and this time one of the tubes on the AST broke off!!!!! First time it was the rad cracked, but man... gotta wait for the engine to cool now to see if I can patch it up for now. Hopefully I can get around with enough coolant. Maybe I can use alot of duct tape.... Any suggestions?

I have a stock AST with about 25k miles on it. Worked fine for me (but now eliminated), interested?

I would however suggest getting rid of it, or getting an aluminum one.

Good luck

Mike

I'm definitely eliminating it, just haven't had the time to go get the filler neck at the Mazda dealer. This looks like just a electrical tape patch up first and hope it holds until I can get it eliminated.

2 reasons not to:
1. You reduce the volume of your coolant lowering your cooling capacity.
2. Makes it harder to fill and drain the system.
