Custom spark plug socket

Those who want to run NGK B9EGV or 10's know that a conventional spark plug socket will not fit thru the boss opening on the rotor housings to plant the plug. And the custom socket is $60 bucks !!! Wow. So want I done is grab a 20MM deep well socket from Auto Zone. The plug will not fit in the opening of this 20mm but will barely start. What I did was heat the socket end where the plug would fit in and carefully drive an old plug into it while hot to expand it just a little so the socket would hold the plug snugly. The I gound down the socket OD on the end about 3/4" from the bottom. I have an old rotor housing and it fits perfect inside that boss now and holds the B9 plug snugly. Plenty of meat on the socket to tighten the plug without breaking.

$4.99 special plug socket. Save $55 bucks.
