Custom Midpipe w/ Metal Cat & Resonator Question: Which is better???

I've seen 2 different designs of midpipes, the boomerang shaped one that can be bought on ebay and the one with a straighter section like Bonez or Rotary Extreme.

I'm planning on making a custom one with a high flow metal core cat and a resonator. Which one will work better? Which one will have better clearance?

Please look at my extremely professional PaintCAD Rendering

What do you think?

The first one isn't going to work. As for the second one, wouldn't it be easier to just use one larger muffler?

That sho'is some nice professional draw'ns..

Here's a pic of mine.

The stainless cat isn't as large as you have in your illustrations. That's the small borla XR-1 sportsman muffler/resonator. It took us a while to decide how best to lay out the parts and this is what we ended up with. I wanted the cat towards the rear of the car in an effort to keep it a little cooler. It would have probably fit better reversed, and if the muffler was any larger I think we would have had to swap them.

it really depends on the sizes of the cat and resonator/muffler. do you know what their measurements are?

the metal cat is 10" overall lenght, 4" diameter core. The resonator I still need to decide on... I was thinking between a packed style or the same borla as the pic above. I also want to keep the airpump line.

fyi - you can probably trim 1" off the length from the cat w/o issue.
