Custom FMIC setup for single turbo - need ideas/input
I'm having some trouble deciding what I want to do with an intercooler setup. I've already decided on doing a FMIC, so I'd appreciate it if we could refrain from arguing about VMIC in this thread.
Anyway...
My setup is going to be a borg warner S360 with a megan racing radiator. I also have a somewhat limited budget, as I don't see that spending $1000+ on an intercooler is necessary for a street car. I'm shooting for 400whp for now, and 450ish later on when I can get a good aux injection setup
The setup i've liked so far is the ETS/Treadstone intercoolers (mounts in front of the radiator support, and the piping extends over the radiator. The only thing I'm worried about is how well the bumper is going to be supported without the crash bar in place.
So basically, I want to know what you guys think about the treadstone intercooler placement, and if anyone has come up with a good custom placement for a large FMIC.
