Question Cruise Control Question

I'm having a tough time getting my cruise control to work. Everything is there, but no dice. I am running a full Autometer Ultra Light Guage set in the car. What sort of signal is the Cruise Control Module looking for? As you can see from my sig, I am running a LS1 conversion car and am using the LS1 PCM, of course. But none of the wires from the PCM having to do with speed signal have worked as yet.

Any ideas appreciated.

You'll have to dig through the shop manual and study the wiring diagrams. I know the cruise control does have a speed sensor input as one of the primary inputs for the system.

Apparently, the stock cluster converts the speed signal to "pulses" to send to the cruise module. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know which part of the stock cluster does this so we can attempt to hook it up without actually putting the whole cluster in?
