Cruise control gone - any ideas where to start looking?

Searched but nothing found! Before I start, any ideas?
It was working intermittently, especially when warmed up. I'm thinking vacuum lines, actuating solenoid.......I really don't have a clue and was hoping someone else has already been there?

THANKS!

I'd check for the obvious blown fuse, check the cable going to the throttle linkage, and last..check the CC motor to see if it has power. It may have a bad motor or a bad switch. Good luck.

Does the CRUISE light on the tach come on / stay on? Or is it not even turning on at all? Wondering if its something sending a signal to turn it off (brake or clutch pedal switch for example), or if it's trying to come on but not physically being able to make it happen (actuator, cable, linkage).

Mine used to work sometimes. I pulled all the under dash fuses out and back in. That seem to have solved the problem. Easy to try.

I had a 1985 GSL-SE that the cruise started going "bad" and kicking out under load. Ended up just being the vacuum hose attached to it was leaking. Replaced it and everything went back to normal. Maybe yours is leaking bad.
