I'm trying to piece together a cruise control kit for my R1. I have been looking through parts but unable to ID all the components. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of any of the cruise control components?

I'm pulling my motor and figured now was a good time to get this setup.

Actuator. (picture acquired)
This is the part under the dash of the car. It has a motor that pulls a short throttle cable going to the throttle body. It has a 4-wire connector.

Control Module.
This is a small silver box behind the driver's side kick panel, just above the black CPU module. It's held onto the body with 1 10mm nut on a stud and 1 10mm bolt. It has a 30-pin or so connector.

The Control Buttons
These are on the stock steering wheel, have the Set, Resume/Accel, and Cancel functions. They connect with a 2-wire connector and that signal runs through the clockspring on the steering wheel hub.

Clutch Switch (should be on R1 already?)
This is on the clutch pedal, there are 2 switches. The one that's easy to see is the one for the ECU. The other one is higher up and is a black box with a white plunger, this is the switch for the cruise control

Brake Switch (should be on R1 already?)
There's only 1 switch with 2 connectors. The larger, thicker gauge wire connector is for the brake lights. The small white connector with thinner gauge wire is for the cruise control.

Master Switch (should be on R1 already?)
This is the switch beside the gauges, has the On and Off master switches for the system.

Speed Sensor (should be on R1 already?)
This is on the transmission and puts out a pulse signal to the speedometer that is then turned into a speed signal. This signal is fed to the cruise control and the ECU.

 

I am pretty sure the cruise control motor is under the hood.

 

I think the throttle body might be different to accommodate the cable.

 

*The actuator is the component you have pictured. I bolts on under the hood near the brake master just behind the shock tower. The electrical connector is already there. A cable runs to the throttlebody and will connect without modification. ALL throttle-bodies have the lever/cam/whatever-you-call-it to accept that cable.
*Your R1 WILL NOT have the master switch on the dash. The blank dash 'plug' in the upper right of the dash hood will have to come out and be replaced with the master switch. It, like ALL other components, is Plug-n-play. When you remove the hood, you will find the connector just sitting there...unused but ready.
*Nothing on the transmission is needed. All sensors etc. are compatible.
*Technically there are TWO clutch switches, but I think only the upper switch, the one pushed inward when the clutch pedal is up, is involved with cruise control.
*Brake switch is already there.
*Control module, right kick-panel is needed but p n p.
*Like the master power switch on the dash, when you remove the airbag, you will find an unused connector for the steering wheel control buttons/switches. You will have to carefully dremel away a bit of the plastic on the back-side of the steering wheel to make room for the switch body. Not a big deal, just go slow so you don't over-do it and it looks nice. It will be apparent, but I think I might have a picture that might help...I'll try to find it. Be sure to disconnect the battery before messing with the air-bag.
