crossbrace infront of the diff... remove?

There is a small brace that goes across the transmission tunnel about a foot in front of the diff. It has two bolts on each side, both 12mm. I just installed my midpipe, and if I put the brace on with the bolts all the way down it pushes up on the exhaust.

Is this a crucial piece? It's on right now and so far I haven't really noticed any excessive vibrations.

is it the one closest to the diff???? that has 2 smaller bolts holding on plastic from the undercarrage? if so it goes over the midpipe. but if its the second one on mine it supports the midpipe. id check to see if the pipes are hugn right and if so put a few washers on it to clear and tighten it down. ~zach

ya, they are put on right...

my downpipe is like a 1/2 cm lower than stock so it messes up the whole thing a bit.

I will throw some spacers on it I guess.

thanks.

I would retain all stock bracing. Dont sacrifice the brace for a midpipe, modify the midpipe or get one that fits.
