crisco = stuck rotor seals?

i had this in my rebuild thread but didn't get responses.

what i did was install the side and corner seals by laying down crisco in the grooves first. they've been sitting like this for 4 months, now the crisco has become dried and gunky. do i need to clean it out and re-install the seals? or is this change typical of assembled rotors/engines that will not have ill effects?

As long as it was kept clean, it will melt right out when you start the motor. I short, it's fine

I don't think it'll last a minute considering the amount of heat the rotary generates.
