Could you run purple ice of water wetter to prevent the water pump seal from failing while using CRC block weld. I know your not supposed to use it with anti-freeze but what about a coolant additives like the ones mentioned.

 

EHHHH u better call them to make sure. i think u r only supposed to use it with coolant or water.

 

All Water Wetter really does is reduce surface tension in the water.

Isn't that what Purple Ice does?? What's the difference between Water Wetter and Purple Ice. From looking at the website, they do the same thing and perform equally well.

 

You can run what ever you want after you follow the block weld treatment and heat cycle it a few times. You want to go back to coolant use after you've done it anyhow or you will only have upto the boiling point of water. I actually went to Evans after the block weld treatment so I could run zero pressure and prolong the block weld.
