crank trigger question?

due to my last misfire datalog, im lead to believe its a crank sensor problem.... but before replacing it im going to check it with an ossillicope. which wire do i check tho?

in my diagram i am seeing

crank trigger +ne
crank home +g
crank pickup (common ground)
trigger
input a
input b

which fricken one is it?

well i figured it out and measured the signal with an oscilloscope, the signal looks crappy, anyone know what its supposed to look like on a 7?

i would never expect it to be pretty. you just need strong pulses at regular intervals. i believe theres a notch and a pin so there should be 2 kinds of pulses.

In the manual it does show pictures of the oscilloscope readings. There should be one pulse for the one for every revolution and the other has the same as the ring spokes per revolution. Page F-160 in the manual and F-180 give some good explanation on how to look and test them.
