Crank Angle Sensor wiring differences
Crank Angle Sensor wiring differences
So I have a 93 and (natch) a 93 harness. My original CAS clips were destroyed some time ago and I received new ones from Fritz. The problem is that the wiring on the clips is different than the originals. I, of course, did have the original at the time but I wanted to double check that I had the right orientation. The harness is b/g & r/w while the clips are something like y/br & r/w. I didn't think that the 95s were different and I can't seem to find an online manual for those.
I have another harness that is from a 94, but it has different wiring as well.
Anyone have that schematic that depics the other wiring?
Thanks!
I know that I could just pin it out, but for reference...

Be very carefull here , the sensors need to be wired correctly ,if you reverse the wires on either conector the timming will be off by 30 -32 degrees .It is not like a light or an electromagnet that politary does not matter . These things need to be correct .If you unplug one and unplug the wires and swap them then the timming will be off .Steve Kan showed me this and I tested it .Low and behold it is true .
Heh...that's why I'm asking this.
Since my wiring is different between the clips and the harness, I can't guarantee that I have it 100%. I'm pretty sure I do as I think I did this when I first put everything together, but since I can't remember if that was the case, I'm double checking.

I just did a little bit more searching in the 2 gen section and there G signal was the one with less teeth or whatever so is it safe to say that G signal would be the grey connector or the CAS on the outside.

Thanks, but even there, the drawing shows the B/G and W/R and the little chart shows the other wiring.
I'm just going to pin out the other harness I have tonight. I'll be able to get the orientation from that.

Did anyone figure out which wires go to which positions on the upper/lower connectors? My engine harness was cut and im trying to repair it blindly. (i believe) the top sensor has the black/green wires and the lower sensor has red/white - which pin these wires connect to i could not find answers to. Can anyone help?
