Unhappy Cracked turbo exaust housings!!!

As the title says, I pulled the turbos off to go non-sequential. Well when I seperated the turbos I noticed the that the primary was cracked at the wastegate on two sides all the way thru, and the other around the exhaust exit point. Now what I want to know is, can these be repaired or are they junk? If they are not repairable where can I get these replaced?

No biggie, I've seen HUGE cracks with no problems in function.

You can't repair them, but you can replace the manifold.

The car was montiego blue until about two months ago. It is gunmetal now. The manifold is fine it is the exhaust housings on the turbos themselves that are cracked.

That's what I was wondering, but I am not sure it would hold?

Properly welding cast iron is not easy. Don't do it if you don't know what you're doing. Just buy a set of used ones from the Classifieds.

Gotta remember that these things have been under extreme heat conditions since 1992 when they came to the USA.

Its a wonnder they all haven't split open over the years.

When you put the turbo's back on, make sure you use NEW studs & nuts plus plane the manifold square as it would have warpded over time.

Do the cracks go all the way through as in "there is now a hole through the turbo manifold" If thats not the case I would do nothing and put it right back on. Most people's are cracked and they don't even know it because it doesn't cause any problems.

Cool I'll do that sometime, I live in the Lower Valley, I'm at the track most Fridays or Sundays. My car will be down for a little while, but I drive my wife's SE-R to the track.

The cracks do go all the way thru right around the wastegate!
