Anyone ever see the "tip" of an injector crack.. 87.5 turbo injector. Sorry, no photo - injector itself looks fine, I think the tip has a plastic cover on it to help seat the O-ring... I just want to confirm that a minor crack in that plastic isn't going to impact flow.. and that it IS just a cover.

 

wrong section... anyways, it's called a pintle cap and it may have some effect on the spray pattern... don't know about in your case. it can be replaced by or with parts from a fuel injector service shop. with fuel injector cleaning/servicing they usually replace them along with the o-rings.
