Question Cracked coolant overflow tank. Time to get new one?

My coolant overflow tank is cracked. it's got a split that's about 1/4 inch on very upper part of the tank. I've come to find out that this tank has two layers of plastic and only outer part is cracked. should I get a new tank? if so, where can i get one?

Normally, the coolant never gets to that level. Also, there's an overflow that's in the upper area of the tank. So, unless I'm missing something here, you should be OK. A crack up there will not affect its function.

Yep, it shouldn't affect the function, but I just hate having broken parts on the car . A used one should be pretty easy and cheap to get your hands on, and I'd also check to see what the price for a new Mazda one would be - that could be a part that's reasonably priced new.

Wow! $10 plus shipping sounds like a great deal then!!

My paypal is shawnpp@3rdgenrx7.com. I'm guessing I can ship via UPS (trackable) for about $8. And can ship the next day after payment.

Check my feedback in my signature.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm what's the AST got to do with his problem ? ? ? If you have a coolant recovery tank from your old FD that might be of more interest to him.
