Check the FAQ sticky thread at the top of the 3rd Gen forum(the forum you posted in), most of your questions are answered there. Any answers you can't find there, use the search button. You really need to research this car before purchasing one. Good luck.

insdead of making a brand spankin new member go lookin around ill just tell you. First off, 93-95 have 3 versions r1/r2/touring. The body doesnt change to much. Just the front bumper spoiler. More info on these differences are in the FAQ. Best year model is the 95 because as the years progressed, Mazda found the flaws of the previous model and fixed them. But the 95 cost the most and is the hardest to find. Lets see I spent 11,000 on my car. About 3-4,000 on add ons and repairs. So just do the math. Look in the classifieds section for some really good FD's. Yes, they are fast. Not exactly sure on the quarter mile time but its alot faster than other imports out there. It would be sweet if you got a 7. Its always good to have more rotary owners, but if you want something reliable the FD isnt the way to go. If you are willing to put a lil money in and a lil time then ok. You can always put bolt ons to make it be more reliable and faster. Now that i kinda helped you on your quest to the higher regions of RX-7 I will lead you to your next step 1 tap from the right, below the rxyclub.com banner. The "Search" button. You can ask me more questions tomorrow.

If you just want a "fast quick car that is somewhat reliable", then the FD isn't for you. This car takes a financial and enthusiast commitment to own. You can listen to young kids that have owned their car for 6 months and will likely sell it within a couple of years or you can listen to a mature owner who's had the car for over 4 years and really knows what's involved....

All of your questions are asked daily and can be answered in the FAQ thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/
