Ok before I start asking questions, I'm going to explain why I'm here and all that great stuff. I registered here because my friend just recently picked up a '94 Twin Turbo and since he's computer illiterate, he doesn't know much about how to use it. I drive a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta VR6 with some pretty basic mods done like fully adjustable coil-overs and cat-back exhaust, anyways its nothing big and certainly is nothing compared to the 3rd Gen. RX-7. Anyways today I was at his house looking at his car since he picked up friday afternoon and we poped open the hood and we were just looking around. I saw that the tube (looks like it goes to smog/air recirculation pump) that connects to the top of the air intake box was broken off and the previous owner was tried to glue it back. Since he wants to mod the car I told him about an air intake system, and I also mentioned about a cold air intake (which I won't run because of the fear of sucking water, if one day I run through a puddle) would be better then a short ram air setup that I have. So if you guys/gals can help my friend out on what is more used because he doesn't want to buy a new top to the air box. Oh and some reputable sites where parts are bought from you guys would be great! Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Sorry I know the search thing might be a big thing like it is on the forums at VWVortex.com that I'm on but I was just wondering what is used more for intakes/cold air intakes.
