Corksport Products......Good quality??

I have been shopping aroud for a new downpipe and exhaust. I was looking at Corksport cause they have been around for many years, and their products look to be nice quality pieces. I was wondering if anyone here on the boards has their exhaust/dp or any other products, and could give a review on those items?? Thanks!!

I just purchased a brand new Corksport Power Series cat back from this forum. I've installed it but, have not drove it other than some idling and revving. I will drive it maybe tomorrow after I finish my midpipe-metallic cat making process.

The quality of the Corksport seems first class with 3" ID pipes vs. 3" OD for many other manufacturers. The stainless steel looks crome plated and the bends, welds and fit are flawless. It will be somewhat loud, given its straight through drum design but, that is fine with me. A sports car should be heard, as well as seen!

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I was impressed with the pics on their website, but I wanted an opinion like yours of someone who actually seen/used the product. For the price, they are hard to beat! I am not concerned about noise either! I have a hookup on corksport stuff, so I think I will go ahead and order the exhaust and downpipe. Now I just have to find a midpipe....Thanks for the info!

Can either of you comment further on this exhaust now that some time has passed? I'm looking into this exhaust as well and can't find too much about it from searching.

I still think that it's great, have not changed my mind about the quality or anything. Since, I installed a midpipe with a metallic cat. The tone of the exhaust was loud but, I happen to like my sports cars loud. I ended up installing a set of Supertrapps at the exit of the Corksport to stop the boost creep that was caused by the installation of the midpipe with the metallic cat. With the full Supertrapps it was actually too quite for me. Now I have it tuned with the open supertrapp plates where its fine and loud and no boost creep either. It is actually quiet when you step into it but, at 4500, as the secondary turbo comes on, the sound changes to "MEAN", which is exactly what I am looking for from this kind of car and exhaust.

Here is what it looks like at the present change of tune with the Supertrapp plates but, no back plate. People might find it ugly, interesting, what ever but, it works great and I like the power and the sound, plus all the attention that it gets.

Thanks Albert, great info. I'm not concerned about how loud it is either, and any car with a full 3" exhaust from the turbos back is gonna be loud anyway

I think i may have found my exhaust.

Not sure on the FD, but the FC Corksport cat-back is just flat obnoxiously noisy. Build quality is good, but it's just damn loud.

For the FD, you can get an HKS Hiper for just about the same money, and it's a fantastic canister-style catback.

I do not own their exhaust but I had a chance to visually inspect the product and it looks top notch. Not to mention that the guys there are great people. I have purchased from them and was surprised with their service.

I was looking at the HKS too, i am still considering it. My car sees very little street time anymore, mainly track and autocross so I don't care if it is obnoxiously loud. I just want something relatively inexpensive that flows well and has good build.

HKS Hi-Power and the Corksport PS cat-back are both VERY quiet at all RPM's outside the car.. inside it seems loud, but it isn't at all. That is with a Cat... once you lose that it's a different story....
