As far as cooling goes, get rid the the stock plastic AST first, then upgrade to a Koyo or Fluidyne radiator. This topic has been gone over many times before. Do a search.

Getting a hold JDM stuff probably isn't very easy, on top of that, can you read Japanese? Go with a 1995 US manual, it's in English and the cars should be similar other than RHD.

Clean the engine bay with normal degreasers.

60% distilled water 40% coolant
Do the mod to control your fans manualy. I keep mine on all the time. Get a temp gauge, the stock one is more like a "add engine light"

Cleaning .....Simple green works good on the engine, for tuff stains denatured alcohol.

ive got a boost controler that cuts out and kills the engine when ive stoped and removed the keys after a minute. But the fans go on when running anyway

Phaz,
Welcome to the forum. It's good that your thinking about cooling mods rather than "how much more HP can I get with this?". But there is a ton of information in the "FAQ Stickys" at the top of this section.....and a free FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL download. Read through everything, including the other sites that are linked to. LOTS of information. Good luck.
BTW, that's not a boost contoller. Its a "turbo timer".
