just had mt 93 auto engine rebuilt. now can't get to coolat level warning light and buzz to go off. there is plenty of coolant in it. any ideas i can't stant the buzzing that much longer!!!!!

 

try burping the system, the sensors probably stuck on an air bubble

 

the shop did that all day. i have now been driving it for a week now and the light and buzing won't go off. i do check the level every morning and it is fine. should i replace the sensor????

 

Are you checking the coolant overfill or the filler neck? What's the level in the filler neck?

 

THE RESERVE IS FINE BUT NOT SURE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WITH THIS "FILLER NECK"?????

 

There are two radiator caps in the engine compartment. One by the intercooler (AST) and the other by the air pump (filler neck) check them both and make sure they are full. Fill the AST first, put the cap on and then top off the filler neck. The cap with the spring should be on th AST and the cap without the spring should be on the filler neck.

 

THEY ARE BOTH FULL.

 

Be carefull on how far you drive it, if you have a hose burst on your it is no fun. I was driving and a hose split on me. I pulled over and got it under control but damn that was a close call. Just dont drive to far before you fix the prob.

The buzzer never goes off? If that is true replace it, and if it still does it trace the wire, it could have been broken during the rebuild..

 

I have the same problem. You can unhook the buzzer. The plug for it is in the driver's kick panel. I still check my coolant level once a day but since the engine was built it has been this way. Almost two weeks and 1500 miles worth. We replaced the sensor as well. I think canman is right about the possible broken wire.

 

The way to properly fill with coolant is to remove one of the 1/2 " hoses from the rear side of the intake plenum.

Then fill with coolant at the coolant filler by the airpump.

When you get a little coolant spilling out of that hose you removed at the intake plenum, then you know the engine is properly filled with coolant. You can even hear the air bubbles and coolant being filled. This is the way to remove most of the excess air as well.

Do this when the engine is cold as well. jc.

 

Where is the sensor located??? I have been have the same problem. So I have been checking all fluids before I even start the egine and they are all full I still get the buzzer. Trying to see if it is where a airpocket forms if I do have a coolant leak. I think it is right below the filler by the airpump. Is it?
